I am Dr. Karthik Sunki, did my post-graduation in Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprosy from Osmania medical college, Hyderabad.
we at Soumya's skin clinic believe in the motto 'Healthy skin, Healthy life'. As the skin is the largest organ of our body, we need to take good care of it. It not only acts as a fine line of defence by acting as a physical barrier, aesthetic purposes, and harbouring the important appendages like hairs, nails, and sweat glands. It also acts as an indicator of internal diseases. so, it is of utmost importance to know about our skin.
You will find me in a wheelchair as I met with an accident in 2011 and had a spinal cord injury while I was in 3rd year of MBBS. After that, I completed my MBBS, worked in a primary health centre for two and a half years, and then joined my post-graduation. During my post-graduation, I have attended many states, zonal, national, and international conferences.
I have also done a fellowship in pediatric dermatology from Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad.
Achievements:
- I have presented 3 award papers at national conferences from 2018-to 2020
- Gave an oral presentation at 'Asia-Pacific Dermatology and Aesthetic conference' held in Singapore in 2019
- Have presented 2 posters at 'the 24th World Congress of Dermatology held in Milan, Italy in 2019.
- Have presented 8 posters in various zonal, national conferences and state conferences during 2019-21
- Have published 3 original articles till now.
- Presented a poster on 'A cross-sectional study on hand manifestations during COVID-19 pandemic' at 'Asia derma conference 2021'
- Delivered a talk at Telangana state conference 'CUTICON 2021' on Diagnostic challenges in pediatric dermatosis.
- Presented two posters at the American Association of Dermatology (AAD) annual conference 2022 held in Boston, USA.
